Beginner Trampoline Tricks Your Kids Will Love

Beginner Trampoline Tricks Your Kids Will Love

If you just bought a trampoline for your child, you want them to get the most out of it. Encouraging them to do fun tricks ensures a great time. But what are some safe and easy tricks that won’t discourage them?

We’ll list a few here, preparing them for a great time.

Safety First

Although trampoline tricks can make your child more enthusiastic about trampolining, they can also lead to risks. However, these beginner tricks are relatively safe, provided you remember the following tips.

·  No more than one person on the trampoline at a time to avoid collisions.

·  Jump in the center to reduce the risk of falls near the edges.

·  Wear appropriate clothing- avoid loose clothing that could get caught in the trampoline’s springs and parts.

·  Ensure the trampoline is in good condition.

·  Check your child’s pockets to make sure they are empty. Objects can fall out of pockets and increase the risk of injury.

Beginner Trampoline Tricks

After ensuring your child’s safety, encourage them to try the following tricks (if they are comfortable doing so, of course!).

The Tuck Jump

The jumper raises their knees to their chest while folding their body mid-air before reaching the ground.

The Pike Jump

Straighten your legs parallel to the ground while bringing your upper body in to meet them. The result is looking like you are sitting upright in midair while leaning your torso forward.

Straddle Jump

This movement requires stretching your legs into a V-shape while you jump. Then move your hands down to touch your toes as you peak.

Seat Drop

As the name suggests, this move requires you to land on your seat after jumping. Get into a seated position while jumping and allow yourself to land. If you have enough momentum, you may be able to straighten your legs and get back into the original standing position.

Knee Drop

Also, as its name suggests, the knee drop requires you to drop to your knees after jumping. To achieve this position, tuck your knees under while in mid-air. The trick is to continue jumping on your knees, then straighten out to regain your upright position.

Doggy Drop

This technique is similar to the knee drop, but you fall into a dog-like position on the trampoline, with your hands and knees down.

Full Front Drop

A full front drop is a more advanced move that requires landing fully on your front. To ensure even weight distribution, the jumper should land simultaneously on their hands, elbows, chest, belly, hips, and thighs. The face should be elevated so it doesn’t hit the mat.
